About Storehouse

Step inside STOREHOUSE - an immersive show for the fake news era.

In 1983, at the dawn of the internet, four visionaries launched a radical experiment to build a secret, global, underground archive of everything humanity has ever shared, searched, or scrolled.

And yes, that means everything: every meme you’ve laughed at or post you’ve liked; every piece of content you’ve created or article you’ve commented on. Your Duolingo streak, your dating profile. Your entire search history.

For 42 years, they have catalogued it all. If it’s lived online, it now lives in STOREHOUSE.

They believed that by 2025, this global dataset would give rise to a truth algorithm, capable of detecting manipulation and bias, freeing the world above from the growing threat of misinformation.

But that moment never came. The experiment failed.

Now, the mission is in crisis. Its founders are gone, and the future of STOREHOUSE is in your hands. You are not just a visitor. You are a newly appointed Trustee.

Inside, you’ll be asked to make sense of a fractured world of competing ideologies, agendas and unreliable narrators. You must interrogate the systems of truth and power - deciding who, and what, you can trust.

Featuring extraordinary production design spread across 9,000 square metres of warehouse space in Deptford, STOREHOUSE is a visually stunning, multi-sensory immersive experience exploring the search for truth in a fast-moving digital world.Book Storehouse tickets on TodayTix.

More information about Storehouse

Storehouse is an immersive experience that includes exceptional voiceover artists guiding audiences through the sprawling facility, as well as physical actors in the storehouse. Toby Jones (Mr Burton), Meera Syal (Paddington 2), Kathryn Hunter (Harry Potter), and Billy Howle (Dear Octopus) are the voiceover actors. The physical performers include Nina Smith (Kiln Theatre), Dawn Butler (Family Affairs), Bonnie Adair (Here We Go), and Zachary Pang (Dear Evan Hansen).

Storehouse in London also boasts an excellent boundary-pushing creative team that includes Liana Patarkatsishvili, who is the founder and concept creator.

"My whole life has been inextricably linked with the media and information ecosystem. I have witnessed firsthand the systemic impact of manipulated information on a personal, national and international level. With this awareness comes the need to share that insight and take steps to affect change," Patarkatsishvili said in a statement.

The creative team also includes story producer Donnacadh O'Briain, creative director Sophie Larsmon, composer Anna Meredith, and six co-writers, including Katie Lyons, Tristan Bernays, Sonali Bhattacharyya, Kathryn Bond, Caro Murphy, and Rhik Samadder.

What to watch for

  • The Deptford Storehouse was once a storehouse for Rupert Murdoch's newspapers, which feels fitting to the show's focus on archiving words.
  • Toby Jones, one of the voiceover actors, has earned numerous awards throughout his career, including the London Film Critics' Circle Award, an Olivier Award, and the National Television Awards.
  • As The Guardian's review said, "Conceived by Liana Patarkatsishvili and produced by Sage & Jester, Storehouse is certainly grand in ambition and immaculately conceived in design, with an intricately created lexicon, too."
  • Meera Syal is a decorated actor, including being appointed CBE in 2015, and in 2017 she was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
