About A Midsummer Night's Dream - Globe
In this vibrant new production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the Globe Theatre becomes a space for communal celebration under starry, summer skies.
Enter a world where the veil between the everyday and the extraordinary grows joyfully thin.
As night deepens on the eve of a royal wedding, a company of amateur performers prepares a play for the big day and invite you to step into their story.
Follow a group of giddy lovers chasing desire and connection through a moonlit forest as they collide with playful spirits in a fairy realm where anything is possible. Hearts open, spells go awry, and surprising transformations unfold in a shared night of mischief that fills the Globe with chaos and wonder.
By dawn, everyone has been changed. Come and be part of the magic.
Directed by Emily Lim (Brighter Still, Bradford City of Culture; The Odyssey, National Theatre/Public Acts).

I loved the originality of the performance! I’ve seen this play twice in the Open air theatre which in my opinion is the best setting for this play, apart of Kew Gardens. However, the interactions of actors with the audience and amazing costumes made me feel completely involved in the play.
Wonderful! Such a joyous production — one of our favourite memories this summer 🩷
Very entertaining and humorous, enjoyed the audience participation.
