Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle Tickets

Mischief Theatre was established in 2008 by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, and their brand of physical comedy with elaborately choreographed stunts has won them a legion of fans. The Play That Goes Wrong was first performed in 2011 and has played at the West End’s Duchess Theatre since 2014, receiving Olivier and WhatsOnStage awards for Best Comedy.

The company’s other popular shows include Peter Pan Goes Wrong, Magic Goes Wrong, The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, and Lights! Camera! Improvise! Mischief Movie Night. They have also had several BBC television specials.

New York Theatre Guide’s review of Mind Mangler commented, “The mentalist’s stooge is played with hilarity by co-writer Jonathan Sayer” and “some of the best parts of Mind Mangler involve breaking set pieces. What to watch for

• Mischief Theatre’s ‘Goes Wrong’ shows are performed by the ‘Cornley Polytechnic Dramatic Society’, and feature a recurring cast of characters playing all the different characters (the real-life actors have several different layers of characterisation to embody!).
• Mind Mangler marks the return of a character from Magic Goes Wrong but we won’t spoil it for you!
• While the bumbling Britishness is a hallmark of Mischief Theatre’s shows, The Play That Goes Wrong has nevertheless been translated and produced in 30 other countries, including China, Hungary, France, Singapore, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and Mexico.
