About Jersey Boys

Oh what a night you’ll have at the theatre! Yes, the beloved show about Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons is here, so work your way back to this musical hit and book Jersey Boys tickets on TodayTix.

From pop hits to dealings with the mob, and from smooth harmonies to band in-fighting, this award-winning tale has everything. As London Theatre said, "you can't fault the sheer entertainment value of this show."

The Jersey Boys musical tells one story from four very different perspectives. You’ll hear about their rise to fame and acrimonious split as viewed by the band’s warring members: Tommy DeVito, who began it all with his brother Nick; their pal Nick Massi; the sensational teenage newcomer Frankie Castelluccio; and, competing the magic set, talented songwriter Bob Gaudio.

Together, they racked up numerous hits that are still celebrated today, such as “December, 1963 (Oh What a Night)”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Sherry”, “Bye Bye Baby”, “Walk Like A Man”, “ Let’s Hang On (To What We’ve Got)”, “Working My Way Back to You”, and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. Hearing them sung live by the talented Jersey Boys London cast is a special treat — you’ll be beggin’ for more from these musical geniuses.

More information about Jersey Boys

Marshall Brickman and Rick Elise, book writers for Jersey Boys, interviewed the band members as research – and cleverly decided to make a virtue of their differing accounts by building it into the structure of their show. There’s no one definitive version of the truth, either in life or in the musical.

The Broadway production opened in 2005 and ran for an astonishing 4,642 performances, finally closing in 2017. The West End run was a massive hit too, playing from 2008-2017. Jersey Boys won both the Tony and Olivier Awards for Best Musical, and its cast recording won a Grammy Award.

Members of that award-winning team return for this new West End revival, including director Des McAnuff, and choreographer Sergio Trujillo. That means you’re getting the Jersey Boys you know and love, once more brought to the stage by the people who created it.

What to Watch For:

  • The subtitle for Jersey Boys could well be Bad Boys. In stark contrast to their sweet crooning and squeaky-clean public image, the writers were shocked to find all the drama behind the scenes – including gambling debts and jail sentences. But hey: it makes for great theatre.
  • The show’s structure is split into four sections, with each told by a different member of the band, and each given a different time period: spring, summer, autumn, winter. That gives rise to a very pleasing pun – the four seasons, told by The Four Seasons.
  • Many talented musical theatre performers have passed through the ranks of the Jersey Boys over the years. That includes Sebastian Arcelus and Andy Karl.
  • Clint Eastwood adapted Jersey Boys into a movie in 2014, executive produced by Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio. John Lloyd Young reprised his Tony-winning turn as Frankie, and the film also featured Hollywood stars like Christopher Walken.
