If you’re someone who has trouble deciding where to go to eat, why not try sampling a little bit of everything? Eat Drink SF is San Francisco’s premier food and drink festival, with four days’ worth of the best culinary creations that the city has to offer. Sing Along to Your Favorite Movies at the Castro Theatre

Sing Alongs at the Castro Theatre are kind of like what would happen if you took a traditional movie theater experience and mixed it with the delightful chaos of karaoke night. Watch some of your favorite movie musicals with the lyrics to each song on screen for you to sing along! As if that weren’t enough incentive, audience members get a goodie bag, and you can dress up like your favorite character from the movie for a costume contest. Get Your Classic Theatre Fix at Cal Shakes

California Shakespeare Theater is renowned for their presentations of the Bard’s work, but that’s not all that Cal Shakes has to offer. Make your way to the beautiful Bruns Amphitheater this summer to see the classic Tennessee Williams play The Glass Menagerie or check out Black Odyssey, a thrilling new take on Homer’s epic tale. At the Legion of Honor Museum, art aficionados can take in the exquisite work of Degas and other impressionist artists in a new limited exhibit, featuring many works never before displayed in the U.S. The exhibit runs from June 24th to September 24th, and you can find your tickets here. Dance the Night Away at Salsa Festival on Fillmore

Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for one of California’s biggest Latin music and dance celebrations. The Salsa Festival on Fillmore is a two-day event where you can watch professional dancers, listen to live music, and join in on the fun with your own dance moves. If you don’t know how to dance, or just need to brush up on your footwork, no worries! You can take salsa lessons right at the festival, and by the end of the night you’ll be dancing like a pro. The festival takes place on July 14th and 15th, and is free to the public.

Indulge Your Shellfish Side at Oysterfest

Music and mollusks make a fine pairing at Oysterfest. Now in its 18th year, the outdoor festival at Golden Gate Park is headlined by Passion Pit, and features other music acts such as Kongos and Sir Sly. While you’re rocking out, sample some oysters alongside carefully chosen alcohol pairings, or partake in the “Shuck and Suck” contest. If eating oysters isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other food options, and instead you can educate yourself on oyster conservation efforts from the Wild Oyster Project. Oysterfest is on July 1st, so hurry and get your tickets here!

See The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time at SHN

Based on the book by Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time is a unique and dazzling play that tells the story of Christopher, a teenager with autism who sets out to find the real killer of his neighbor’s dog after he is falsely accused. The acclaimed, Tony-winning play is now playing at SHN’s Golden Gate Theatre through July 23rd, and it’s not to be missed!
