Cocktail Hour with Alexandre Oguey presented by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra tickets
About Cocktail Hour with Alexandre Oguey
Principal Cor Anglais Alexandre Oguey presents music for cor anglais and string quartet from Bach to the present day, including a world premiere by our own Justin Williams.
With the death of Beethoven in 1827 as the catalyst, Principal Cor Anglais Alexandre Oguey takes us on a journey through the centuries.
Schubert’s great song cycle Winterreise (1827) is dark and melancholy. JS Bach (1727) and Poulenc (1927) offer beautiful gems that sparkle and shine.
And bringing us into 2027 is a new work by Justin Williams – celebrated composer and member of our viola section – writing for his close friends and colleagues.
Join us for a complimentary glass of Handpicked wine on arrival before the performance with this intimate one-hour chamber music concert.
