Andrea Lam in Recital presented by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra tickets
About Andrea Lam in Recital
ARIA Award-winning Australian pianist Andrea Lam performs a recital of romantic classics and modern reflections by Chopin, Schumann, Prokofiev and Caroline Shaw.
Her artistry is on full display in this stunning recital. Fantasiestücke finds Robert Schumann in conversation with his two imagined selves; the mood shifting from reflection to exuberance.
Chopin’s First Ballade follows, with one of the most deeply felt melodies he ever wrote. Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw’s Gustave Le Gray takes Chopin as the starting point and arrives somewhere new.
Then Prokofiev’s* Sixth Sonata* unleashes another side of Lam’s pianism – intense, powerful and visceral.
