Simone Young conducts Beethoven’s Symphonies 6 & 7 presented by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra tickets
About Simone Young conducts Beethoven’s Symphonies 6 & 7
Calm, restorative and full of movement – Beethoven’s Sixth transports you to the natural world. From gentle daybreak to bubbling streams, thundering storms and fresh renewal after rain, it captures all the joy and warmth the countryside brings.
Then the Seventh takes over, pulsing with a rhythmic energy Wagner called the ‘apotheosis of the dance’. This is a concert where gentle beauty meets unstoppable momentum.
200 years since Beethoven’s death, Chief Conductor Simone Young presents all nine symphonies across two spectacular weeks, tracing a body of work that reshaped the possibilities of the symphonic form.
