Simone Young conducts Mahler’s Seventh Symphony presented by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra tickets
About Simone Young conducts Mahler’s Seventh Symphony
Simone Young ‘has waved the magic Mahler wand’ (Limelight) to open each of her seasons as our Chief Conductor, and here she continues that tradition to reveal the technicolour brilliance of Mahler’s Seventh Symphony.
As the symphony moves through a nocturnal world of shadows, strange reflections and blurred illusions, you can hear why some have dubbed it ‘Song of the Night’; it shifts between serenity and unease, with intimate serenades and flickering textures.
Don’t miss this fascinating start to our 2027 Season.
