


Pop culture’s favourite vengeful ghost is back, and she’s gonna sing about it.
50 years at the bottom of a well can sure get lonely, and only getting out on occasion to murder unsuspecting viewers of a Cursed Videotape isn’t as achievable in the streaming era.
It’s time for Sadako to reach new audiences by embracing the magic of live theatre to tell her tragic story, and maybe, just maybe, find love along the way.
Created by award-winning performer of stage and screen, Kimie Tsukakoshi (The Poison of Polygamy, Bureau of Magical Things) and comedian Jared Jekyll, writer-director of last year’s hit Adelaide Cabaret Festival show “Tired Ass Showgirls”, comes a pitch-black comedy cabaret and love letter to the Japanese Horror boom of the 2000s.
So, gather around that ominous ring of light for a night of toe-tapping and nervous laughter, as we voyage into a morbid abyss of intergenerational trauma, female rage, and rock ’n’ roll.

Step-free access is available from the entrance to the foyer via lift, with auditorium entry via a side door for those unable to use stairs. Accessible seating is available in the front row, with options to remain in a wheelchair space or transfer to a seat. A hearing loop system is provided for compatible hearing aids. Assistance animals are welcome in all areas, and accessible toilets are available on the foyer level. Staff can assist with access requirements on arrival.
BY BUS: Catch the 311 bus from Railway Square or York Street near Wynyard Street. Drop off on Elizabeth Bay Road or Greenknowe Avenue.
BY TRAIN: Catch the train from the city to Kings Cross Station. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the theatre.
BY CAR: Discount parking is available from the Kings Cross Parking Station (entrance on Ward Avenue). Bring your parking ticket with you to the theatre and have it validated at the Box Office to receive discounted unlimited parking.
