Pinchgut Opera presents Messiah: revealed as Handel first conceived it – Luminous, intimate and unforgettable.
This November and December, Pinchgut Opera invites you to experience one of the most beloved and enduring masterpieces of the Baroque, Handel’s Messiah, in its radiant original 1742 Dublin version.
In this rarely performed form, Messiah is reimagined as Handel first presented it: with twelve exceptional singers and the incomparable Orchestra of the Antipodes on period instruments, bringing to life the vivid textures, clarity, and expressive nuance that defined the music’s earliest performances.
Far from the grand choral versions many audiences know, this Messiah offers an intimate and profoundly moving encounter with Handel’s genius, and reveals the spiritual depth, emotional immediacy, and breathtaking beauty of this beloved masterpiece
Celebrate the season with Pinchgut Opera, and rediscover Messiah as it was meant to be heard; luminous, intimate, and unforgettable.
