Rebecca Gibney (Packed to the Rafters) and Cameron Daddo (Once at Darlinghurst Theatre) make their Sydney Theatre Company debuts in this humorous and heartbreaking mosaic of daily life.
In a modest, small-town community hall, five people – mostly strangers – come together to take part in an amateur acting class. The class is run by Marty (Gibney), a well-meaning, passionate and provocative teacher who leads the group in a series of drama games.
With a knockout ensemble cast also featuring Ahunim Abebe, Nicholas Brown (Long Forgotten Dream, Still Point Turning) and Jessie Lawrence, Circle Mirror Transformation is a masterpiece of simple beauty and laugh-out-loud relatability by one of America’s most exciting playwrights: Pulitzer Prize-winner, Annie Baker. Director Dean Bryant (Dear Evan Hansen, Bloom) continues a winning run at STC with a play that unearths spectacular gems from seemingly unassuming moments.

Wharf 1 Theatre is on Level 2 of The Wharf. The majority of patrons will enter via Doors 1 and 2 which can be reached most directly via the lift at the end of The Wharf. This provides level access from the exterior apron of The Wharf at Ground Level, right up to the Theatre on Level 2.
We also have a level access point to Wharf 1 Theatre through Door 3 for people seated in A row, which allows patrons to go directly into the theatre. Access to Door 3 is only on request and these requests should be made at the Box Office at the time of booking.
Level access to Level 1 is via any of the three lifts along the exterior of The Wharf. Each of these lifts can be accessed via ground floor, however the lift at the end of The Wharf provides the most direct access.
Please inform the Sydney Theatre Company Box Office at least 24 hours in advance to ensure they are able to assist your needs. Call on (02) 9250 1777 or email boxoffice@sydneytheatre.com.au.
