'Let's be real – This play is not romantic at all. It is not the greatest love story of all time...'
Two amateur actors and their highly-strung Stage Manager need to step in when a production of Romeo & Juliet goes horribly wrong. Chaos ensues as props go missing, cues are missed, and the jaded lead actress continuously argues how the work of a dead, white writer is no longer relevant in modern society. But the show must go on and these young performers must come together to resolve their offstage drama and present the greatest love story of all time.
With a cast of three taking on nearly twenty characters, this is a metatheatrical satire on the underappreciation of arts in our world.
See Glassroom Theatre Company's return following a four-year hiatus, devised and created entirely by a team of Sydney's newest emerging artists and theatre-makers.
