Dreams do come true! Riverside Theatres makes its post lockdown return with Australia’s most successful Tenor and internationally acclaimed sensation Mark Vincent, performing his new show The Impossible Dream.
Award-winning Soprano, Clarissa Spata, who previously performed with Opera Australia and was a contestant on The Voice Australia will join for this special one night only event.
Performing a rich repertoire of classical music songs and arias, Mark will bring you a few surprises, but you can expect all your favourites including some of the classic hits from London’s West End and Broadway musicals such as You Raise Me Up, Somewhere, Impossible Dream, Nessun Dorma and many, many more.

GETTING TO THE VENUE
BY LIGHT RAIL: Parramatta’s L4 Westmead & Carlingford Line is now open. Services are every 9 minutes in the peak (7am to 7pm), and 12-16 minutes in the off-peak on Monday to Friday; and 12 minutes in the peak (7am to 7pm) and 16 minutes in the off-peak on weekends. Alight at Prince Alfred Square Light Rail stop for a short walk to the theatre.
BY TRAIN: Parramatta is linked from all directions by train. Riverside is approximately a 12-minute walk from Parramatta Train Station.
Exit the station towards Parramatta Square (exit 5), turn left towards Centenary Square, Parramatta Town Hall and PHIVE. Turn right towards Church Street, and follow it up to the theatre, just across the Lennox Bridge.
BY BUS: Bus services are available to Parramatta from all directions: through Hills Bus, Sydney Buses and Hopkinsons. The nearest bus stops are on Wilde Ave/Smith St – a short walk away from the theatre.
BY FREE SHUTTLE: The Parramatta Shuttle Bus is a fast, free and accessible service run by Transport for NSW through Transdev. Operating on a continuous loop starting from Macquarie Street near Centenary Square, the shuttle bus connects rail, bus and ferry transport interchanges with local shops, community hubs and Riverside Theatres.
BY FERRY: Parramatta Quay is an enjoyable 8-minute walk to us along the river.
About Mark Vincent At the young age of fifteen, Mark Vincent stepped onto the set of Australia’s Got Talent and stunned a nation with his powerful and emotive rendition of Puccini’s, Nessun Dorma. Mark’s incredible voice, mature beyond it’s years, along with his heart-warming story of his grandfather Bruno, who inspired him to sing, yet would never live to see his first television performance, captured the hearts of people all over Australia and internationally. Mark Vincent would eventually propel himself from that very first performance, to become the winner of Australia’s Got Talent 2009.
Mark Vincent is one of Australia’s most beloved tenors. He has recorded and released nine albums on the Sony label, with eight of these albums having reached #1 on the ARIA Classical Crossover charts, and several releases having enjoyed great success atop the Aria national charts. His recordings and live performances have received accolades both nationally and internationally.
In 2014, Mark Vincent made his musical theatre debut in the Australian national production of Dirty Dancing. His performances garnered great reviews for his role of Billy and set the stage for Mark to continue to work in theatre for many years to come.
In June 2016, Dame Julie Andrews, DBE directed the Australian national production of My Fair Lady, in which she personally cast Mark in the role of Freddy Einsfeld Hill. The production opened to rave reviews and was a resounding success. Working under the direction and tutelage Of Dame Julie has been a highlight of Mark’s career thus far.
In 2017, Mark, together with his producer Chong Lim, embarked on what he considers to be the most important recording project thus far. A Tribute to Mario Lanza, which contains the ground breaking ‘virtual duet’ of “Because You’re Mine” together with the Hollywood legend. A Tribute to Mario Lanza debuted at #3 on the ARIA top 100, and at #1 on the ARIA Classical Crossover Charts. The album went on to be the highest selling ARIA Classical Crossover album of 2017.
Mark has toured the UK as a special guest of world renowned soprano, Katherine Jenkins performing iconic venues including The Royal Albert Hall London, Royal Concert Hall Glasgow and in the historic Roman castle Catello Orsini-Odescalchi.
