Faure: Requiem Tickets

Fauré wrote his requiem to be a musical consolation, a deeply human response to the suffering of death and the pain of grief.

Performed outdoors in Green-Wood Cemetery’s historic landscape among centuries-old gravestones and mausoleums, Faure’s piercingly beautiful work takes on new meaning as we slowly resurface from the collective suffering wrought by COVID-19. Join us in remembrance of those we’ve lost, and in hope of a better world to come. Performed by the extraordinary singers of Cantori New York.

Important Things to Note:

• Seating is primarily on grass, bring a blanket or cushions for your own comfort. A limited number of chairs will be provided.
• Doors open at 6pm, the program starts at 7pm, and lasts approximately one hour. No admittance after 7pm.
• The journey to and from the performance site takes approximately 15-20 minutes, which includes walking over hilly and uneven terrain; proper footwear is recommended.
• Outside food and drinks are prohibited, except water.
• Rain date Sunday, October 24.
