What to Watch For

  • The Ricardo Montalbán Theatre is a historic venue in Hollywood, California, near the intersection of Sunset and Vine. The theatre opened in 1927 under the name Wilkes’ Vine Street Theatre. Over the years, the theatre has housed all kinds of productions, including a radio program produced by Cecil B. DeMille.
  • The Ricardo Montalbán Foundation bought the theatre in 1999 with a focus on celebrating Latinx voices in the theatre. In 2019, the theatre celebrated a decade of rooftop entertainment.
  • Please be advised that the historic Ricardo Montalbán Theatre does not have an elevator, meaning there is only staircase access to Rooftop Movies at the Montalbán.
