End of the Rainbow is a play set in 1968, and it follows Garland as she prepares for her Talk of the Town concert series in London. She is wildly adored by her audience, but beyond the stage, she is struggling tremendously with addiction, exhaustion, and the pressure to persevere. After a lifetime under the stage lights, Garland is ripping at the seams.
Two-time RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and Broadway favourite, Jinkx Monsoon, is starring as Judy Garland in this gorgeous biographical drama alongside Jacob Dudman as Mickey, Adam Filipe as Anthony, and Fred Double as Newsreader/ASM. The show is directed by Rupert Hands and is running for a strictly limited run. The moving show shines a light on Garland’s unmistakable star power.

End of the Rainbow in London allows audiences to experience Judy Garland’s final chapter, just months before her passing in 1969. The play moves between private, intimate moments and public performances, showing Garland in her hotel suite, at rehearsals, and on stage as she prepares for her London shows.
Peter Quilter’s play premiered in Australia in 2005 before reaching the West End and Broadway. It has also served as source material for the 2019 film, Judy, starring Renée Zellweger. This London production is directed by Rupert Hands and features musical supervision and orchestration by Leo Munby, lighting by Prema Mehta, sound by Tony Gayle, and set and costume design by Jasmine Swan.
Jinkx Monsoon leads the show after major stage appearances in Chicago, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Oh, Mary!, and Little Shop of Horrors. For audiences who love Monsoon’s work, this is an opportunity to see her take on one of entertainment’s most beloved and complex figures.
