About The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry

Don’t miss The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, a gloriously uplifting new musical arriving in the West End after a sold-out, critically acclaimed run at Chichester Festival Theatre. Book The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry tickets on TodayTix.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry is a musical based on Rachel Joyce’s 2012 novel. This tearjerker follows Harold Fry, an everyday man who sets out to send a letter to his dying friend and ends up walking instead. Leaving his life behind, Harold embarks on an impromptu journey across England, believing that as long as he perseveres, his friend will stay alive.

Along the way, Harold encounters many different kinds of people whose kindnesses change his outlook on life. Meanwhile, back home, his wife, Maureen, confronts her own life and marriage. Their parallel journeys unfold into a profoundly moving story centered around connection and forgiveness.

With a warm, folk-pop score by Passenger and masterful direction from Katy Rudd, this musical celebrates hope and reminds us of the impact even our smallest moves can have.
