Set in a small town in Washington, Clarkston follows the story of Jake and Chris, two young men who meet unexpectedly during a quiet night shift at a Costco department store. Their connection deepens into the night, and the play mirrors a modern-day frontier tale, following in the footsteps of explorers Lewis and Clark.

Having been first seen in the US, Clarkston now makes its way to London in its UK premiere. Written by Samuel D. Hunter, who also wrote the Academy Award-winning film The Whale, this play has been celebrated for its humor and tender sweetness.
