Meanwhile, grief-stricken Viola becomes shipwrecked and decides to disguise herself as a man named Cesario to join Duke Orsino's service. That's when the unexpected happens—from mistaken identity to love and the discovery of a long-lost brother being found alive—Twelfth Night, or What You Will is a play filled with surprises.

Twelfth Night, or What You Will in London, is directed by Robin Belfield, who recently directed the new play, Princess Essex. She also directed the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Twelfth Night, or What You Will, First Encounters production. This production was an edited, 90-minute version of the play which was aimed primarily at first-time Shakespeare audiences as well as at younger people.
The creative team also includes design by Jean Chan (Shanghai Dolls), fight direction by Paul Benzing (Hedda Gabler), movement and intimacy direction by Ingrid Mackinnon (The Importance of Being Earnest), and the composer is Simon Slater (Julius Caesar).
Twelfth Night, or What You Will, is a play written by William Shakespeare in 1601 or 1602, and the show’s earliest public performance was in February of 1602 at Middle Temple Hall. The Italian production of Gl’ingannt heavily influenced this play, and the title of the play references the twelfth night after Christmas Day, a day also referred to as the Eve of the Feast of Epiphany.
