• In 1958, when this show was set, late-night television was still a very new concept. As EW's review explained, "the way the show moves from on camera to backstage and back, and the frenzy involved in getting Levant to just sit at a piano, has sitcom energy, but with the dark undertone of Levant's very public coming-undone."
