Pike will be on stage alone during the court scenes, but cast members Jamie Glover (Waterloo Road) and Jasper Talbot (Redlands) will be present during the family scenes.
Pike explained, “I have to create that courtroom for the audience: the jury, the witnesses, the barristers – all that.”

Inter Alia in London is written by Suzie Miller, who has written more than 40 plays over the course of her career, including Prima Facie, in which she earned an Olivier Award for Best New Play. This production is directed by Justin Martin (Kyoto, The Fear of 13, Prima Facie). Inter Alia reunites Miller and Martin after their success with Prima Facie.
Inter Alia is a play with an expert creative team, including costume design by Miriam Buether, lighting design by Natasha Chivers, movement and intimacy direction by Lucy Hind, sound design by Ben and Max Ringham, video design by Willie Williams for Treatment Studio, and voice coaching by William Conacher.
This production will be professionally recorded for cinema release in the UK on 4 September and global release on 25 September.
