About Long Day’s Journey Into Night

Award-winning actor Brian Cox returns to the London stage in Eugene O’Neill’s iconic play. Book Long Day’s Journey Into Night on TodayTix.

O'Neill’s Long Day’s Journey Into Night is a gripping look into a single day of the Tyrone family's lives, which is rife with love, hate, betrayal, and addiction. Financial worries haunt James, Mary is battling a morphine addiction, James Jr grapples with alcoholism, and Edmund suffers from an illness. As the tumultuous day turns into night, the play lays bare their fragile relationships, revealing secrets and lasting resentments.

This landmark new production, often regarded as the greatest American play of the 20th Century, will be directed by the award-winning Jeremy Herrin (Best of Enemies).

Brian Cox, best known for his work on HBO’s Succession, will be joined by Patricia Clarkson (Sharp Objects) as Mary, Laurie Kynaston (Spring Awakening, Fool Me Once) as Edmund, Daryl McCormack (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande) as James Jr, and Louisa Harland (Derry Girls) as Cathleen.
