About Aspects of Love

34 years after the original West End production, Michael Ball returns to the passionate musical. See why nothing in the world can ever be the same in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s timeless romantic tale, and book Aspects of Love tickets on TodayTix.

Aspects of Love put Michael Ball on the map. In 1989, he originated the role of Alex — his recording of the standout song “Love Changes Everything” reached number two in the UK music charts. For the updated version, Ball plays George, Alex's uncle. Don't miss your chance to see the West End star in action, as well as operatic superstar Danielle de Niese as Giuiletta.

This scintillating tale follows three generations of the Dillingham family over 17 years. Follow the tangled relationships between budding actress Rose, her young fan-turned-soldier Alex, his uncle George, and George’s mistress Giulietta Trapani. There’s romance. There’s joy. There’s heartbreak. But that's love.

More information about Aspects of Love

Michael Ball’s no stranger to returning to his past shows. He reprised the role of Edna Turnblad in Hairspray at the London Colisuem in 2021, and played Javert in all-star Les Miserables concerts. Now, he’s taking on the paternal role of George in Aspects of Love, with Moulin Rouge! The Musical star Jamie Bogyo as Alex.

Aspects of Love holds a very special place in my heart," said Ball. "I am absolutely delighted to revisit Andrew Lloyd Webber’s glorious score in a re-imagined chamber production in the West End."

What to Watch For:

  • David Garnett's 1955 novel of the same name inspires the musical.
  • The Aspects of Love adaptation was originally planned to be a film version. After the film project fell through, Lloyd Webber decided there should be a musical adaptation instead.
  • Andrew Lloyd Webber and his longtime writing partner Tim Rice composed a cabaret of songs six years prior to the show’s West End premiere.
