This summer, see the classic tale of mischief, love, and deceit set in Elizabethan England. In The Merry Wives of Windsor, Sir John Falstaff comes up with a solution to solve his financial woes—he attempts to seduce two wealthy wives, Mistress Ford and Mistress Page. However, his foolproof plan fails when the women compare the identical notes that he sent them. Together with their husbands, they seek to play a trick on Falstaff.

The Merry Wives of Windsor in London has an expert creative team at its helm–it is directed by Sean Holmes (Much Ado About Nothing), the designer is Grace Smart (Much Ado About Nothing), the composer is Frew (Canary and the Crow), and Associate Artistic Director is Sean Holmes (Romeo and Juliet).

The Merry Wives of Windsor is a play featuring an exceptional cast, including Corrina Buchan, Jolyon Coy, Samuel Creasey, George Fouracres, Christopher Logan, Tré Medley, Marcus Olale, Emma Pallant, LJ Parkinson, Katherine Pearce, Danielle Phillips, Sophie Russell, and Adam Wadsworth.

Sean Holmes said, “I’m really excited to start working on our production of The Merry Wives of Windsor. We have a brilliant comedic cast and a super creative team, who are all ready to rediscover and find the freshness in one of Shakespeare’s most raucous comedies.”

This show has a long history of performances, dating back to its publication in 1602. In 1986, the Royal Shakespeare Company production earned an Olivier Award for Director of the Year, and the 1980 Royal Shakespeare Company production earned Ben Kingsley an Olivier Award nomination for Comedy Performance of the Year.
