About Lyric Stage Company
As Boston’s oldest professional theatre, The Lyric Stage has observed and been a part of a great many changes in the local theatrical scene. The Lyric Stage was formed in 1974, and started performing in the Community Church on Boylston Street. Focusing mainly on beloved classics – works by such playwrights O’Neill, Williams, Pinter, Shaw, and O’Casey – the Lyric Stage began its residency at 54 Charles Street in 1976.

The cheapest parking for evening performances is always the garage next door at 100 Clarendon Street - $7 with validation from the theater after 5pm. For weekend matinees, there is also a valet garage directly across the street at 400 Stuart Street. Parking at the Copley Place Garage on Huntington Avenue is always $10 with a day-of ticket stub.
