On October 2, 2006 a gunman walked into a one-room Amish school house in Nickel Mines, PA and opened fire. In the wake of this tragedy, playwright Jessica Dickey explores forgiveness in the shadow of violence and loss in a solo performance presented with gentle ferocity by ITP company member Sarah Gise. Seven characters are played by one actor in a performance that explores forgiveness, joy, and hope in the face of tragedy. Directed by David Connelly for San Antonio's AtticRep, Sarah Gise traveled with THE AMISH PROJECT to Italy for the Intercultural Festival Laboratory of Theatre Practices (hosted by Teatro Potlach), and is proudly being presented for a limited engagement by Interrobang Theatre Project and the Athenaeum Theatre.
