About Mendelssohn’s “Scottish” Symphony Orion Weiss plays Mozart

Revel in the delicate poetry and wistful romance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in the hands of Orion Weiss, celebrated as an “effortlessly brilliant performer” with “powerful technique and exceptional insight” (The Washington Post). Hailed as “fearless, bold, and a life-force” (San Diego Union-Tribune), conductor Ken-David Masur closes the program with Mendelssohn’s heavenly Symphony No. 3, “Scottish.”

Michael Tilson Thomas has withdrawn from the National Symphony Orchestra’s concerts on November 16 & 18, 2023. His doctors recommend that MTT greatly reduce his travel schedule and that there be more space between concert performances. Ken-David Masur will replace MTT.
