Frequently asked questions
What is a Rush ticket?
Rush tickets are deeply discounted, same-day seats released each morning on the TodayTix app on a first-come, first-served basis. They're how you see your city's best shows without planning ahead.
What is a Lottery ticket?
Lottery tickets are entries for the chance to win discounted seats to popular shows. Enter through the TodayTix app. Winners are drawn at random, and if you win you'll have a short window to claim and pay for your seats.
What's the difference between a Rush and a Lottery ticket?
Rush tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and are for that day's performance. Lottery tickets are awarded at random and winners are notified anywhere from about a week before the performance to day-of, depending on the Lottery. Most shows that offer Rush or Lottery have them for every performance, but the number of tickets distributed varies and is subject to availability.
How do I get Rush tickets?
Open the TodayTix app, find the show, and tap Unlock Now. Then, tap Get Rush Tickets when the window opens. Enable Rush alerts so you're notified the moment seats are released. Most shows release Rush at 9 AM local time the day of the performance.
How do I enter the Lottery?
Open the TodayTix app, find the show, and set an alert for when the Lottery opens. Once it opens, tap Enter Lottery. Entry windows are set by each show. Usually, the Lottery opens one to two days before the performance. Winners are notified by app and email.
How much do Rush and Lottery tickets cost?
Rush and Lottery tickets are typically a fraction of the box office price. Exact pricing varies by show and is shown in the app before you confirm.
Can I pick my seats?
While you can't pick your exact seats, your section is shown before you buy. Specific seat numbers are assigned by the venue.
