Brought lovingly back to life by an award-winning team, this boutique reimagining of the timeless classic ‘The Glass Menagerie’ passionately explores the subtexts of sexuality and gender through a coalescence of Tennessee Williams’ perceptive intentions and experiences, combined with a nuanced, contemporary understanding.
Narrated by Tom Wingfield, the story unfolds as he recalls life with his mother, Amanda, and sister, Laura, in their cramped tenement apartment during the midst of the Great Depression.
All of Meat Market’s venue spaces are accessible and D.D.A. compliant. While the spaces are D.D.A. compliant, areas with cobblestone floors can be slightly bumpy due to their uneven surface.
