Two immigrants, one Filipino and one Korean, meet by chance in a supermarket on Thanksgiving in 1973. Longing for connection, Luna invites Jane to her apartment. While their medical-resident husbands work through the night, the women bond over life in America, the families they left behind and how to cook a frozen turkey. Set eight years after the Hart-Celler Act overhauled U.S. immigration policy, this heartwarming comedy was called “a laugh-aloud love letter to friendship” by Broadway World.
