About Roaring Nights
The L.A. Zoo’s wildly popular Roaring Nights series returns in 2024 with a totally tubular ’80s theme! It’s the 21-and-over way to do the Zoo, with dance areas, animal experiences, tasty food and beverages, and more.
Featuring:
- Live music with yacht rock cover band The AstroYachts on July 13 and high-energy ‘80s cover band Flashback Heart Attack on September 14
- A DJ dance party
- An immersive silent disco experience
- A fun paint party where you can take home your masterpiece
- The chance to explore the Zoo after hours
- Special feedings of some of your favorite animals
- Full bars and L.A.’s best food trucks

You must be at least 21 years of age, with a valid ID, to attend this event.
This is a rain or shine event. There are no refunds or exchanges.
Food and beverages are not included in the ticket price. Outside food and beverages, large bags, backpacks, hard/soft coolers, purses, thermoses, glass bottles, balloons, and inflatables will not be permitted.
Only clear plastic bags smaller than 12”x12”x6”, and non-clear wristlets/clutches no larger than 5”x8”x2” are permitted and are subject to search.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted on Zoo grounds, and there is no re-entry.
Free parking is available.
During evening events, animals are given access to their night quarters for their comfort. Therefore, most animals will not be on exhibit.
The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, which produces this event, reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule this event for the sake of public health and safety. All ticket sales are final.
Last entry into the event is 8:45 p.m. Front gates will close at 8:45 p.m. Once inside, guests are welcome to stay until 10 p.m. when the event ends.
