Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is the ultimate holiday tradition. (We know there’s that one person in your family you have to convince to turn off football.) Our favorite part of the parade is the Broadway performances (predictable, we know), and this year Wicked, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Six, and The Rockettes are performing.

Can’t wait for Thanksgiving morning, or can’t get enough of these shows? We’ve rounded up some of our favorite past performances and songs from the shows that will be at the parade this year. Check them out below, and get tickets to see this year’s shows live on TodayTix!

Wicked

Wicked is still as popular as ever 18 years into its Broadway run. The current cast has performed the show’s hits on multiple talk shows, and for the original stars who regularly perform songs from the musical, it’s clear that it’s a part of them for good.

2021 cast (Lindsay Pearce and Ginna Claire Mason): “Popular” and “The Wizard and I”

Original cast (Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth): “For Good”

2021 cast (Jennifer DiNoia and Sam Gravitte): “As Long as You’re Mine”

2021 cast (Ginna Claire Mason and the company of Wicked): “No One Mourns the Wicked”

Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Moulin Rouge! The Musical was the biggest winner at the 2020 Tony Awards ceremony, gathering 10 awards including Best Musical. We can surely expect a grand performance at the Macy’s Parade from the spectacular spectacular!

Danny Burstein and the company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical: “Welcome to the Moulin Rouge!”

Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivo: “Come What May”

Six

After being forced to go on pause on their projected opening night due to the pandemic, the Six Queens came back in full force in September with the reopening of Broadway. In just under two months of performances, the Queens have performed their pop remixes of “herstory” on numerous talk shows.

The company of Six: “Ex-Wives”

Adrianna Hicks and the company of Six: “No Way”

The Rockettes

Every year, the Rockettes perform a piece from the iconic Radio City Christmas Spectacular at the parade to ring in the holiday season. They perform to modern arrangements of classic carols with their signature precision dance moves.
