Have you ever wanted to see a show that features circus acts, comedy, aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, romance, gorgeous costumes and live music? Of course you have, that sounds like the most amazing show ever! In which case, it’s your lucky day because Cirque Du Soleil’s Amaluna is exactly all of that and is coming to the Royal Albert Hall.

This our face looking at this trailer.

Amaluna premiered in the UK in 2016 and has been on tour, but now it’s returning to the Royal Albert Hall, transforming it into the ultimate theatrical fantasy. The show loosely follows the plot of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, with Queen Prospera overseeing her daughter Miranda’s coming of age ceremony on a mystical island. When a ship crashes on the shores with a handsome prince aboard, jealousy takes over Miranda’s friend Cali, who seeks to keep them apart.

It’s the Shakespeare classic you love but with more flips, spins and juggling. Here’s a quick look at some of the incredible performers and what they can do:

He flipped another guy WITH HIS FEET! The show features stunning acrobats who can flip, jump and throw each other at incredible speeds.

This show will make you want to immediately sign up for an acrobatic class. Although, if you’re anything like us, it’ll be a pre-pre-pre beginners class. It’ll take a while until we’re as elegant and strong as these performers.

Balancing on the edge of a waterbowl, Miranda dances and flips into the bowl with incredible grace and athleticism as her aerial guide swings and twirls above her, creating a stunning performance.

Using a teeterboard, these men fling each other into the air at high speeds with astounding accuracy. The talent and the trust these performers have is really amazing – we’re not sure there’s anyone we’d trust enough to bounce us 15ft into the air.

With its gorgeous costumes, live rock music, and amazing feats of human strength and agility, Amaluna will transport you to a world of fantasy!
