Join the Blue Man Group in Chicago as they embark upon a multi-sensory journey — it’s a fusion of music, comedy, and theatre explored through the use of technology, colors, instruments, and even some audience participation. The all-ages show is nonverbal, bringing the performers and audiences together with a connection of music and shared sensory experience. Blue Man Group provide entertainment that’s sure to evoke laughter, and requires everyone to be ready to rock out a bit and party. There’s even a designated splash zone for wayward onstage materials — don’t worry, audience members are given ponchos!
The Blue Man Group in New York City was started in 1987 by a group of friends who performed in blue masks in the streets, with the performance artists took up residence at the Astor Place Theatre in 1991. As well as the Blue Man Group in Chicago, the Blue Man Group is also in cities including New York City, Boston, Las Vegas, Berlin, and Orlando. There are also touring productions all over the globe. Wherever the performance, the Blue Man Group shows are constantly being updated with new graphics, instruments, and comic bits.
