Director Tyrone Phillips, a first-generation Jamaican American, reimagines Illyria in the Caribbean isles—exploring how different cultures come together, celebrate, and become a community. Shakespeare’s sparkling romance finds the spirited Viola washed ashore in an unfamiliar land, separated from her twin brother during a shipwreck. Disguised as a man, she takes a job with the charming Duke Orsino—but Viola is soon entangled in a hilarious love triangle as mistaken identities abound.
