Some of the incredible performers you’ll see in this show are Terrence Carey, Alex Bellisle, Mark Campbell, and Claudia Martinez. Don't miss out on seeing these performers — and Sasquatch. Book tickets for Eat, Pray, Bigfoot in Love in Chicago.

Eat, Pray, Bigfoot in Love brings something new to The Second City! Even if you’ve seen a show with The Second City e.t.c. cast before, these shows are always different. Aside from the improvised elements, each of these main shows is developed to run for a few short months before a new one emerges. So there’s always a good reason to return to their home on North Ave.

The Second City’s e.t.c. stage is not as large as the mainstage area. When seeing an e.t.c. show you should expect to see the up-and-comers of the company, which is exciting. You may see a future comedy star in the early stages of their career!

Eat, Pray, Bigfoot in Love director Jerry Minor is a former e.t.c. cast member who went on to do a season of SNL in 2000, as well as work with The Second City in Detroit and Toronto. He has also been in television shows like Arrested Development, Community, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

What to Watch For

  • Performances of Eat, Pray, Bigfoot in Love take place four nights a week in Chicago from Thursdays through Sundays with an R rating, so leave the kiddos at home.
  • There is no shortage of bites or beverages in Chicago’s Old Town, but don’t forget that Second City also offers in-theatre dining. Don’t sleep on the beef sliders or cheese curds!
  • Some of the greatest comedians in American (and Canadian) history are alumni of The Second City. From the Chicago e.t.c. stage, specifically comedians like Scott Adsit, Aidy Bryant, Keegan-Michael Key, and Jack McBrayer, made their start.
  • Chicago’s The Second City started in 1959 and since then has become one of the most recognizable comedy theatres in the world. It is easily the most famous improv theatre in the world.
  • The company’s e.t.c. stage premiered in 1983. Not only did this additional performance space add to seating capacity, but it also made for a way to expand the resident ensemble.
