La Boite

La Boite Theatre is located at 6 Musk Avenue, Kelvin Grove, Brisbane, Queensland, 4059, within the Queensland University of Technology's Kelvin Grove campus. Bus stop #12 on Kelvin Grove Road is a two-minute walk from the venue, and QUT Kelvin Grove Station is a ten-minute walk away.

Founded in 1925 as the Brisbane Repertory Theatre Society, La Boite is Australia's longest continuously running theatre company, celebrating its 100th year in 2025. Its home, the Roundhouse, is Australia's only purpose-built theatre-in-the-round — an intimate 400-seat space that's hosted the company since it moved to Kelvin Grove in 2003.

Over a century of programming, La Boite has staged everything from Nick Earls' Zigzag Street — the production that opened the Roundhouse in 2003 — to recent seasons of Macbeth, Antigone, Closer and We're All Gonna Die!. The company has built a reputation for daring new Australian work alongside bold takes on modern and classic texts.
