Where is QPAC located?
QPAC is located on the corner of Grey and Melbourne Streets, South Brisbane, within the Queensland Cultural Centre precinct at South Bank. It's an easy walk from South Brisbane train station, the Cultural Centre busway station and the South Bank ferry wharf.
What makes QPAC unique?
Opened in 1985, QPAC is a Statutory Body of the Queensland Government and Queensland's largest performing arts centre, spanning five venues: the Lyric Theatre, Concert Hall, Playhouse, Cremorne Theatre and the newly opened Glasshouse Theatre, which added a 1,500-seat fifth stage in March 2026. It's also the performance home to Queensland's major companies, including Queensland Theatre Company, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Ballet, Opera Queensland and Circa.

Since opening in 1985, QPAC has welcomed more than 30 million visitors across over 33,500 performances, regularly hosting national touring companies including The Australian Ballet, Opera Australia, Bell Shakespeare and Bangarra Dance Theatre, alongside major international musicals and theatre productions.
