This year, music lovers across the world celebrate the 150th birthday of Sergei Rachmaninoff, a great master of the Russian Romantic tradition. Join us for an all-Rachmaninoff evening of extravagant drama and romance with “Russian firebrand” (Chicago Tribune) Denis Kozhukhin performing the exquisite Piano Concerto No. 4.
Noseda bookends the program with The Rock—drawn from Anton Chekhov’s story of a chance encounter on a stormy night—along with the thrilling choral symphony The Bells.
