NSO: Wind & Wave: Anne Akiko Meyers plays the Daugherty’s Blue Electra Noseda conducts La Mer tickets

Internationally-renowned superstar violinist Anne Akiko Meyers gives flight to the world premiere of Blue Electra, Grammy® Award-winning composer Michael Daugherty’s new work inspired by American icon Amelia Earhart.

Also on the program: The Flying Dutchman overture, a perennial favorite, surrounds the audience in the fury of an ocean lashed by gale-force winds; Night Flight evokes the calm of being above it all; and Debussy’s La Mer depicts dawn’s early light upon the sea… the frolicsome play of the waves… and the dynamic dialogue between wind and water.
