Synopsis
Highly recommended by The Chicago Sun-Times, SPILL is based on the events surrounding the 2010 Deepwater Horizon drilling rig explosion, triggering the largest environmental disaster in U.S. history. Created by Leigh Fondakowski (The Laramie Project, The People’s Temple) from interviews, testimony, court documents, and media accounts collected in the aftermath of the spill, SPILL follows the story of the 2010 explosion on board the oil rig and the devastating impact of the 87-day British Petroleum (BP) oil spill on the coastal communities and marine life of Louisiana.
