About The Great Gatsby

Be whisked away to the Jazz Age and head to one of Jay Gatsby’s extravagant soirées as The Great Gatsby comes to London. Are you ready, old sport?

As you take your seat at The Great Gatsby, you’ll be greeted by Gatsby’s guests as they introduce you to the party. Bonus points if you dress up for the occasion: flapper dresses, tuxedos, and feather boas are all the rage.

London Theatre commended the authenticity of this 1920s-themed show, saying “Everything you'd expect from a show set in the 1920s is there: the Charleston, the bob hair cuts, the constant talk about motor cars.” Get ready for a night in Prohibition-era New York at The Great Gatsby.

Follow Jay Gatsby. He’s a self-made millionaire who lives an isolated life in West Egg. He regularly invites the locals to his talk-of-the-town parties. The champagne is flowing, the conversations are happening, and the card games are taking place. Jay Gatsby struggles to find himself in a complicated world, especially when he pursues his young love, Daisy Buchanan. Underneath all the bright lights and action, the alluring mystery of Jay Gatsby remains. Say cheers to The Great Gatsby.

More information about The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby is one of London’s hottest shows. Dive headfirst into the Gatsby world and experience a hedonistic world of free-flowing liquor and self-indulgence. Join the Gatsby characters as they dance the night away and discover more about their stories.

All of the action isn’t confined to just one room. There’s a number of smaller spaces and scenes that only a few people are invited to watch each performance. Will you be one of the lucky ones? Believe in the green light.

What To Watch For:

  • Did you know that The Great Gatsby is London's longest-running immersive production of all time? It opened before Hamilton, Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, and Six.
  • Alexander Wright directs The Great Gatsby. Wright is no stranger to working on immersive adaptations, also directing a piece inspired by The Wolf of Wall Street.
  • The F. Scott Fitzgerald book The Great Gatsby was published in 1925. Even though The Great Gatsby didn’t receive much praise at first, it’s now considered by many to be the defining American novel.
  • The Great Gatsby age recommendation is 14+. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring Photo ID.
