About RISING: The Shepherds

A darkly, comic dance work starring two lost sheep in a slaughter paddock, out to remake Australian mythmaking. Carly Sheppard and Alisdair Macindoe wrangle ancestry, colonial legacy and ecological devastation through invented histories, living kinships and strange new rituals. A transformative journey into the stories we inherit, the futures we owe, and the pastures still to come.

The Shepherds is part of the inaugural Australian Dance Biennale, curated and hosted by RISING.
