Japanese conductor Nodoka Okisawa returns to lead the MSO in a contrasting program of French and Japanese works. And Birds Are Still… is a contemplative work from Takashi Yoshimatsu that contrasts the lightness of nature with the weight of the human experience. Meanwhile, Poulenc’s delightful Sinfonietta is full of light and dance.
