Vera Blue and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra unite for a one-night collision of intimacy and scale, where electronic pulse meets full symphonic force, and song expands into something cinematic and elemental.
Reimagined in orchestral form, Vera Blue’s catalogue opens into new dimension, shaped and elevated by the sweep of strings, brass and woodwinds. The orchestra becomes a living, breathing veil around the songs, deepening quiet moments into widescreen emotion and drawing each melody into something immersive and expansive. At the centre is Vera Blue’s voice, fearless and vulnerable, agile and unmistakably human, moving within the orchestral landscape, held and lifted by its power and nuance.
Orchestral Veil draws back the space between the intimate and the epic, revealing these works in a new light, layered, luminous and alive with symphonic depth. Familiar songs take on new shadow and scale, unfolding from whispers to surges, from confession to crescendo, guided by bold new arrangements and the expressive force of the orchestra.
Expect breathtaking dynamics, sweeping arrangements, and the rare sensation of hearing these songs both revealed and transformed, carried by the full force of the orchestra, with voice and symphony intertwined in moments of stillness and storm.
