Victorian Opera is bringing its adored adaptation of Norman Lindsay’s classic The Magic Pudding to the stage in 2026 for an unmissable return season.
Filled with a measure of musical magic, deliciously playful costumes and a hearty helping of theatrical magic, this dinky-di delight brings Lindsay’s larrikin spirit to joyous life.
This Australian classic has inspired laughter for generations with its much-loved characters Albert the Pudding, Bunyip Bluegum, Bill Barnacle, Sam Sawnoff as well as those mischievous Puddin’-thieves.

GETTING TO THE VENUE
BY BUS:
McCulloch St/Whitehorse Rd on the 901 route is the closest bus station to The Round only a short walk from the bus stop to venue. The nearby Nunawading Station can also be accessed by the 273, 902 and 735 route.
BY TRAIN:
The Round is connected by nearby train stations on the Belgrave and Lilydale line. The closest train station is Nunawading Station which is approximately 1km or a 10-minute walk from The Round. From there, you can alternatively take a taxi, ride-sharing service, or catch a connecting bus to The Round.
BY CAR:
M3 Freeway is a major freeway that runs directly to Whitehorse connecting to The Round via Springvale Road and Whitehorse Road.
Burwood Highway is a prominent highway that provides access to The Round connecting via Springvale Road and Whitehorse Road.
