About A Whole New World of Alan Menken
Experience a once-in-a-lifetime concert in Melbourne and Sydney May 2026 as A Whole New World of Alan Menken – Stories and Songs in concert by the 8-Time Oscar-Winning Composer, the Disney legend's very first public performance in Australia.
Alan Menken’s music has shaped generations, from his era-defining Disney hits “Beauty and the Beast,” “A Whole New World,” “Colors of the Wind,” and “Go the Distance,” to the beloved stage and screen musicals that have become cultural landmarks. His extraordinary catalogue includes The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Newsies, Hercules, Little Shop of Horrors, Sister Act, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and many more.
Throughout the evening, Menken performs his unforgettable songs and offers audiences a rare glimpse into the stories, memories, and creative moments that shaped them.
An 8-time Oscar®, 11-time Grammy®, 7-time Golden Globe® winner and one of only 22 EGOT honourees, Menken is the most awarded living person in Academy Award history.
With only two performances, one in Melbourne and one in Sydney, this event marks a historic milestone, giving Australian audiences their first chance to experience the magic of Alan Menken live on stage.
