TURNING SOUND INTO GOLD
The Doric String Quartet is an internationally acclaimed UK-based quartet which brings its luminous sound and immaculate interpretations to everything it does. From Beethoven’s rich and strange first 'Razumovsky' Quartet to Benjamin Britten’s delicate Divertimentos, this is chamber music at its best.
For its 2026 tour of Australia the Quartet meets a perfect match, the multi-award-winning Adelaide-based clarinettist Lloyd Van’t Hoff. Together they present Alchymia by British composer Thomas Adès, a work hailed by critics as ‘one of the best chamber music compositions of our time’. Expect great things when this exciting combination of international and Australian artists share the stage.
