







Pack your teddies and your picnic baskets and join Melbourne Shakespeare Company for a beary special day out! Start your adventure in the heart of the St Kilda Botanical Gardens, where you’ll set up your picnic rugs and meet Ms Place, Sam, and a host of hilarious characters at the Annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic. But when a beloved bear goes missing, it’s up to YOU and your little ones to help crack the case!
This delightful 45-minute immersive musical theatre experience combines live performance, puppetry, and audience participation. Families will follow the cast through the gardens on an interactive adventure, meeting quirky woodland characters, completing spy missions, and helping solve the mystery of who kidnapped Bobby the Bear, before returning to the picnic spot where you are welcome to stay and enjoy your very own Teddy Bear’s picnic.
This project has been supported by the City of Port Philip through the Cultural Development Fund and the Palais Theatre - A Live Nation Managed Venue.
